Philips Moda is a new series of LCD monitors, which is observed by a slim and attractive design. The screen diagonal of 21.5 or 23.6 inches is surrounded by a black plastic frame, which contrasts sharply with the back covered with white plastic. The base is made of aluminum, a material chosen for specific stiffness, which allows maintaining a slim design without compromising the stability of the screen.
Philips 248C3 and 228C3 supports a 1920 x 1080 resolution and make available two HDMI ports, useful if you want to use the system set-top box or DVD player without having to detach every time the HDMI cable attached to the PC. Those who do not have PCs equipped with HDMI port shall have a VGA connector.
The screen is lit using W-LED (White LED) technology, more efficient in terms of energy consumption than traditional CCFL technology, which allowed the models to obtain new Energy Star 5.0 certification. Given brightness reaches 250 cd/m² in the case of the 228C3 model and 300 cd/m² for 248C3.
Based on a TN matrix, the screen promises a response time of 2ms (G2G) and 170º viewing angles horizontally and 160º vertically. In terms of contrast ratio, Philips chose to mention only the dynamic contrast value (Smart Contrast) and 20.000.000:1.
Philips 248C3LHSB will have a price of 258 Euro and the smaller screen version, Philips 228C3LHSB can be purchased with 219 Euro.
