$900 is more than enough for someone to get a new laptop or even a computer but would it be right to spend that much of money on a 240GB SSD hard drive? Well apparently LaCie thinks so because their new device called the Little Big Disk Thunderbolt SSD costs $899.95.
With that much money, users can get 240GB worth of storage through two 120GB SSD combined under a hardware RAID 0 configuration. For some, it may be a waste of money but wait until you see the performance of the disk drive.
Imagine a system with a read speed of more than 450MB/s and write speed of 250MB/s. It is insanely fast and that is what the LaCie Little Big Disk Thunderbolt SSD has to offer. With this much speed, users can expect a huge increase in performance of their system.
To whom does this drive made for? This drive is mostly geared towards movie editors and such as these users need huge read/write speed. Through a disk speed test done by Engadget, it was revealed that with a 10bit YUV 4:2:2 configuration, the LaCie Little Big Thunderbolt SSD could cover almost every format except 1080p at 50 and 59.94 fps but a higher configuration would leave it impossible to write much higher formats such as on 2K. Nevertheless, the performance of this device can be said unmatched to a lot of its rivals as of date.

This is amazing.. with that kind of speed? I don’t mind spending a lot actually.. hope to get one really.
