The much-awaited annual CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2015 was mostly about wearable devices and a few smartphones. In fact, Lenovo showcased two of its smartphones that it will be releasing this year. The first of these is the P90. This device would be the first smartphone combining LTE-Advanced modem (XMM 7260) with Intel’s 64-bit Atom processor. The second smartphone from Lenovo was Vibe X2 Pro. This device has flash accessory for selfie. But the most fascinated device, that Lenovo introduced at this gadgets show was its Vibe Band wearable on wrists like a watch.
Lenovo has identified this product as VB10. It’s E-link and considerably longer lasting battery life was what most people took note of. But even otherwise, Lenovo scores 10/10 for the looks of these wearable devices. Not many devices, that can be worn on wrists can match this elegance.
Features and Specifications of Vibe Band
The device is thin and its battery life can last for six to seven days on one charge. It is a water proof device and it comes with features that are common in all smart watches such as fitness tracking. There is Bluetooth facility too. In addition, it is able to warn the person wearing it about distance from their cell phones. According to Lenovo, these gadgets are compatible iOS.
While Lenovo’s smartphones would not be available in the US, Vibe Band will be. This wearable device would be in the market from April. At $89, it is certainly a tempting to buy one, or at least gift one. Slightly higher price would have brought in a sense of exclusivity. Nevertheless, the company is likely to score on this product, if not for anything else, at least for the looks and price. Lenovo’s gain would hurt other smart watch manufacturers.
