The range of Micro Four Thirds cameras from Panasonic will improve soon with a new top model. It is about Panasonic G5, a model that adopts a very solid design and comes with a generous grip. The first information indicates a 16 MP sensor and a 3″ fold screen, like the previous model, Panasonic G3. With the G5, the manufacturer will launch two new lenses. It is a 12-35 mm lens with F2.8, optical stabilized and about a 45-150 mm lens. About the latter we do not know if it would receive the image stabilization system Mega OIS.
Panasonic G5 – there is the generous grip:
Panasonic G5 images gives a trigger located on the grip, angled. Behind it is a switch similar to a camera with optical zoom. For those not familiar with Micro Four Thirds cameras, the last year there were several electronic optical zoom lenses, controlled by a switch on the lens. These objectives are more suitable for filming, compared with the manual zoom. The switch from the Panasonic G5 body should control the new objectives.
Panasonic G5 should be officially announced in the coming days. Its price will be $600.
