The series of Cyber-shot cameras from Sony TX boasts with a slim body and a huge screen on the back. This time, the manufacturer has overstated these specifications. Sony TX55 has a thickness of 12.2 mm, but the people at Sony have cheated a little. They have not considered the sliding lid that protects the objective as if it could be removed. Even so, the dimensions are impressive and I did not even come to talk about specifications. Sony offers so many features into a shell so thin that you cannot but wonder about it.
The camera’s sensor has 16.2 MP and is CMOS. Its performance should be good or at least the same with other devices on the market. This sensor is allowing with the Dual Rec function taking pictures at 12 MP when recording full HD. There isn’t any buttons on the back of the device. Instead, Sony has OLED screen of 3.3″.
Sony TX55‘s internal objective enables a 5x optical zoom, but the manufacturer boasts with a 10x zoom, which effectively keeps the image quality. By Pixel Super Resolution function processing the image obtained with digital zoom. Sony TX55 retains many of the facilities offered on previous models of the Japanese manufacturer, of which we mention Sweep Panorama, 3D Still Image and SteadyShot image stabilization.
Sony TX55 will enter the market in September, and the price of the device will be $ 350.
