Ice Cream Sandwich has been around for quite some time and yet there aren’t many devices that can be updated to the new Android operating system just yet. This is because the manufacturers have yet to release and update for these devices. Unless they are as versatile and have the developer community as big as the HD2, users of these devices will simply have to wait for the manufacturers’ update.
Good news though for those that are using the first version of the Asus Transformer which is also model TF101. This is because the ICS update is already available and will soon be rolled out slowly. However, it is to no surprise that the first country that will be getting this update is Taiwan. The update will be given over-the-air so that means that users will have to connect to the internet through Wi-Fi if possible so that they can receive the update on their Asus Transformer TF101.
The device originally came with Android Honeycomb 3.0 which was made specifically for tablets but Google decided to make a more universal version (and a lot better too!) which is the ICS. In fact, ICS is something to look forward to as it has a lot of interesting features such as facial unlocking amongst many others.
