Motorola, which is now a subsidiary of Google, introduced Moto G smartphone at a very competitive price. Its Moto X, which was launched in early 2013 in North, as well as South America, became one of the most popular gadgets introduced in this year. Moto G is expected to follow its footsteps. This new product, however, was launched in London through a live video coverage was relayed from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Moto G is a very rudimentary Android device compared to what is available in the market. Even so, it is equipped with 720 pixels High Definition Screen that is 4.5 inch in size. The processor installed in this handset is Snapdragon quad-core 400. Running speed of this processor is 1.2GHz. People can choose between 8 GB storage and 16 GB storage Moto G as per their requirements. The operating system in this device is the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) but without any additions.
Price and Updates
As of now, the handset is being sold for $179 or so, without its SIM. This is equivalent to approximately 135 pounds sterling in the UK, and 169 Euros. In contrast, the most sophisticated gadget from Motorola, i.e., Nexus, which was also launched not so long ago, costs approximately $349 for the 16 GB version. The company intends provide updates of Android for its Moto G. In this context, it announced that Android 4.4 (Kit Kat) will be available for Moto G in January 2014
