Verizon will be the first among the four leading US carriers- AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon itself to release the flagship Samsung Galaxy S III Android smartphone. In addition, the pre-orders for the 32 GB and the 16 GB gadgets will begin from 7 hrs EST on June 6 from Verizon Wireless Stores.
With a two year Verizon contract the 16 GB model will be coming for $199.99 while the 32 GB model will cost $249.99. It is vital to note here that Verizon has returned to pricing its contract models at $199.99 instead of $299.99, which is a welcome sign for Android enthusiasts.
The Galaxy S III will feature a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Qualcomm processor, 2 GB RAM, 8 MP camera, 2100 mAh battery and 4.8 inch super AMOLED Gorilla glass display screen. Some people may be, however, being disappointed that quad core Exynos processor misses out on the Verizon contract Galaxy S III. However, the Qualcomm CPU has not disappointed in quality Android devices like the HTC One X or One S. Also, thank your stars that you will have the Snapdragon CPU since the better Exynos CPU will not support 4G LTE in the international edition.
