The name certainly sounds delicious and for a lot of people, based on the preview given by Google on its new operating system, it is aesthetically delicious as well. Google has put in a lot of work on improving the look and image of its prominent operating system, Android and so far, they’ve got people amazed by the new looks as well.
Why is this so important? It is important because compared with the other two competing operating system, the iOS and Windows Phone 7, Android has the most cluttered interface although there are a applications that are trying hard not to make it seem that way. The iOS is easy to use and so does Windows Phone 7 which not only looks good but easily accessible as well.
Looks matter a lot regardless of what has been said. That is why Windows Mobile 6.5 has been ousted by the iOS earlier on when Apple launched its iPhone. Ignoring this would possibly cause the Android to endure the same fate of the aforementioned operating system.
Basically, Google did a lot of tweaking on its mobile OS such as with its multitasking as it now features a screenshot of the closed application instead of only its icons. It had also improved its notifications as well adding folders at the Home Screen which we think should have been done earlier on.
The result so far looks great. We can’t wait on the final product of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
