RIM to Introduce BBX Handsets
Research in Motion (RIM) is all set to introduce BBX phones and it has clearly stated that such handsets could be touchscreen only. These handsets will have the same aspect ratio and resolution as the firm’s Playbook tablet which makes it easy to access the apps designed for Playbook to be used on BBX as well. BBX handsets will have the aspect ratio 16:9 and resolution 1280×720 respectively.
In an interview, Alec Saunders, Vice President, DR&E at Research in Motion said; we have designed BBX handsets in such a manner that they will have the ability to upload multiple dimension graphics.
Rumors in the Market
Rumors are that RIM might take QWERTY keyboards out of league after the release of BBX handsets. Good news is; RIM has decided to combine best features of Blackberry OS and QNX in their BBX handsets. Also, these phones will support Android applications which are an added advantage. We are so looking forward to hear more on this. Stay tuned for more updates!
