The next version to one of the most celebrated Android smartphones- the Galaxy S III- will be launched in Britain in April. It was confirmed by ZDNet Korea who had discussed it with Samsung’s advertisement agency. Originally thought that the S III will be launched at the Barcelona Mobile World Congress 2012 but the Korean firm reported sometime before the MWC 2012 that the gadgets would be released later in a separate event.
The smartphone would be running on Android 4.0 ICS with a 1.5 GHz quad core processor and 2 GB of RAM. The Boy Genius Report says that the 4.8 inch display handset with a resolution of 1080p will have an 8 MP rear camera along with a 2 MP front facing camera. The BGR report has also predicted an April launch.
Rumors are going around, and the Galaxy S III is expected to be released in the first half of the year itself in an event hosted by Samsung, and the smartphone will be available across retail stores well soon after that. Samsung has added fuel to the rivalry with Apple by poking fun of iPhone in Galaxy S II promotions, and with the release of the S III, thing will heat up.
