Korean gadgets manufacturer, Samsung announced its plans to launch several new products including Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge this April. These products were showcased at MWC, which is an annual event held at Barcelona. For starters, these products will be released in the US and almost 20 countries for now.
Features of Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge
Galaxy S6 has a highly advanced camera that qualifies as fastest one on smartphones as of the date. The camera can also illuminate scenes taken at the night much more than any of its peers. The 5.1 inch screen of these smartphones has higher pixel density, i.e., 577/inch. Samsung has improved its fingerprint feature. These devices are also slimmer and lighter than previous devices. Samsung has added Samsung Pay feature that is wireless payment ability. It uses LoopPay technology for this. Point of sale (POS) machines can read the swiped information from credit card because of signals produced by this technology. Even charging of these devices is wireless. According to Samsung, these devices take merely 10 minutes for a charge that lasts up to 4 hours.
Differences between the two Devices
The primary difference between the two devices is based on their screens. Galaxy S6 Edge has curved edge screen whereas Galaxy S6 has flat screen. But Samsung has used Gorilla Glass for both screens.
Samsung has lost considerable market share to Apple, and these two devices certainly have features that give them an edge over Apple’s devices. Wireless payment feature in Samsung’s latest devices gives access to more retail locations. That will certainly help the company regain its market share.
