Tizen –powered phone has been kept in dark and after much delay it seems that Samsung is going to launch its first Tizen based handset in January 2015. The software used in the device is of the Samsung Company only. The device is named as Samsung Z1 and the tentative day of its launch is January 18, 2015.
What is Tizen?
An open-source software Tizen is allowed to be used by anyone. Samsung is promoting this platform to challenge the Android. Earlier Samsung launched the Z smartphone in the June 2014 and was released only in the South Korea and after sometimes it was put on the hold there also.
The entry level model of Samsung Z1 is going to be a mid-range handset. The gadgetwill be equipped with a display of 4” having a resolution of 800 x 480 pi resolution. The processor is of 1.2 GHZ dualcore and with the front-facing shooter and a 3 MP rear end camera.
Other features include RAM of 768 GB, internal memory of 4 GB and a provision to insert a microSD card for extending the memory. The 3G device will also support a dual SIM and its price is still not revealed.
