Having one of each is no longer fun as Samsung decided to double up the specifications of its devices. Gone is the day where a phone can only have one SIM and a single screen as the SCH-W999 by Samsung has two different screens and also sport a dual-SIM function.
The Samsung SCH-W999 is a clamshell phone which is now can be considered as uncommon in the market as there are only a handful of these available. It sports two different Super AMOLED touch-screens which are back to back. In addition to that, it also has a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor which puts it as one of the high-end smartphones in the market. Users can also use both GSM and CDMA2000 networks which is something unique to a handful of phones only.
This latest offering by Samsung comes with the Android operating system and is scheduled to be launched sometime in 2012. In addition to that, expect the price to be at least 8990 Yuan or a US Dollar equivalent of roughly $1400. This phone is anything but cheap but to some, it might be worth the price. Maybe some of the US carriers will subsidize the phone under their contractual plans.
