It looks like everyone is on the prowl for some new news about the upcoming iPhone 5 and the latest rumors are from Sharp which supplies the larger 4-inch displays to the new generation of iPhone gadgets. Reuters quotes Takashi Okuda, the new head of Sharp- iPhone 5 displays will be shipped this month itself.
Is it a Sharp Display?
The expected suppliers for iPhone 5 displays are thought to be LG, Japan Display or Sharp according to IT pundits although you won’t get any kind of information from Apple until the iPhone 5 will be launched along with iOS 6 later this year. The statement from Okuda, however, did not get a note of the size of the display or technology that will be used in them.
No End to Rumors
Rumors are not a new thing, and when it comes to Apple’s gadgets, it seems to galore. However, it is extremely puzzling in itself that the head of an MNC is coming into the rumor-mill, which is always run by unnamed sources. Looks like Sharp has in mind the fact that Samsung supplies displays for the iPads but also is in a serious patent war with Apple.
