Nokia recently introduced its Lumia Icon, which will be carried by Verizon Wireless. This new device would have a screen of 5 inches, which has baffled gadgets world, because Nokia’s previous product, i.e., Lumia 1520, which was carried by AT&T had a six inch screen. But the product was not without its share of inconveniences. This may be reason for Nokia reverting to 5 inch display once more.
The volume of the device is about 137 mm x 71 mm x 9.8 mm. It weighs only 167 gms, which would please the market very much. Unlike Lumia 1520, this device comes with support for Qi charging. The battery included in the device is 2420 mAH. Its 5 inch display has resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. This display is covered with “ClearBlack” Gorilla Glass. The display screen has 441 ppi. The device includes 4 microphones and a 20 megapixel camera (PureView), which comes with OIS and optics of Carl Zeiss make. The device also has Bluetooth and Wifi facility.
Nokia Lumia Icon is equipped with a RAM of 2GB, apart from internal storage of 32GB. Its 2.2GHz processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon’s 800 quadcore.
Though the device has nothing new to offer, its dimensions are appealing. In addition, the drawbacks of previous models are eliminated. So perhaps, Nokia would be able to lure customers and regain its market share.
