Android can be considered one of the biggest shareholders in the smartphone market and its latest stable version is no other than Android 4.0, codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). This version of Android hasn’t been around for a long time yet and not many devices have been in its support list although the list is getting bigger by the day. However, that didn’t stop the company from moving forward with the development of Android 5.0 and this will soon have the moniker Jelly Bean.
Jelly Bean won’t be coming into the market anytime soon though, the release date for that particular version of Android will be some time next year. This is because there is still a lot to be improved and it is also to make sure that ICS will be well accepted amongst devices around the world for the time being.
In addition to that, Asus also claimed that due to the company’s close relationship with Google, users can expect that the company will manufacture the first device that will have Jelly Bean on it. However, Asus users expected a more stable support for ICS on its devices instead of the company racing to be the first for Jelly Bean.
