The popular photo sharing application- Instagram has been updated in the Android platform. The update fixes many bugs and supports the latest HTC One X Android 4.0 smartphones. The popular iOS app was released only recently in the Android platform. It has been already downloaded from the app store more than 5 million times.
Most of the bugs that suffered the Android Instagram are now fixed. The fixed Instagram photos are now displayed in the gallery, better support is given to NVIDIA Tegra 3 based gadgets, increased hardware support for using built-in cameras and applying various filters, updating of geotag locations is now more frequent and many bug fixes for tablet uses.
However, perhaps the most notable bug fix is becoming compacted with the new HTC One X. The Android ICS device has a 1.5 GHz Tegra 3 quad core processor, 1 GB of RAM, has a 4.7-inch screen with 720 x 1280p resolution and 312ppi pixel density, and is just 0.35 inches thick.
Facebook has acquired popular photo sharing service Instagram for a whopping $1 billion in cash and stock. The unexpected acquisition has come just days after Instagram launched the Android version of the application.
