Ice Cream Sandwich is one of the many things an Android user should look forward to. Features such as facial unlock and many others are some of the many things that it offers. However, not many devices will support this particular Android update. For devices that will be receiving the update, it will definitely be a big leap as these devices will most probably go from Android version 2.x to version 4.x.
The ASUS Transformer is definitely a good tablet and it is worth having as well. It is powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and has a 10.1 IPS screen as well. In addition to that, its 1GB RAM ensures that most applications will run with much ease. However, it comes with the Honeycomb version of Android instead of the latest ICS.
That will soon change in the future because based on a Facebook wall post to ASUS fan page revealed that an ASUS customer service mentioned that the ICS update will be available soon. There aren’t any specific dates as to when it will be released but it was mentioned that the update will be available mid-February. Original ASUS Transformer users should definitely rejoice this news because they will soon be able to join some of the few lucky people that are able to use ICS on their Android devices.
