Majority of Samsung Android gadgets will receive the Android 4.0 ICS upgrade in the US as per a post on the Samsung supports page. Although specific dates for the availability of upgrades on the air were not immediately known. However, some smartphones and tablets have missed the bus- the Galaxy S, original 7-inch Galaxy Tab and T-Mobile Samsung gadgets.
The Upgrade List
From AT&T the Samsung devices, which have been listed out, for the upgrade are Galaxy S II, Galaxy S II Skyrocket, Nexus S, Galaxy Note, Glide, and the 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab slate. Sprint Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch will receive the ICS upgrade as of now while the upgrade is already available on the Nexus S 4G. Only tablets have been until now listed for the Android 4.0 upgrade, and it includes Galaxy Tab 7.7, Galaxy Tab 10.1, and the Wi-Fi only versions of Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus.
T-Mobile Samsung Devices Misses Out
Deliberations with T-Mobile are still going on to chalk out a list of the eligible Android devices of Samsung sold by the carrier. We can expect these devices to be covered in the coming months. Samsung says that it is working closely with all carriers and Google to get the upgrades fast.
