Instagram used to be an iOS exclusive app until it was made available to b users. Shortly after it was released, the number of installation jumped exponentially to a few hundred thousand during the first 24 hours. Less than a couple of weeks later, there are already millions of downloads and installations of the application on Android devices around the world. After 214,000 reviews and counting, the application still managed to secure 4.5 out of 5 stars as well.
It wasn’t long before the application needed and update to fix all the bugs available there. And it seems that Instagram experienced another update on April 6, 2012 and it involved several improvements as well. For starters, tablet and WiFi handset users can now rejoice because the application can now support these two devices which also means that all Android users can now make use of Instagram.
In addition to that, users can now install Instagram in the SD card which would be a lifesaver to many especially to those that might not have a lot of storage space in their mobile phones. The audio mute bug was also fixed as well as other small improvements that has been done to the application in general.
