It is no longer a rumor that gadgets world is speculating about. Samsung has confirmed its plans to release of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 this September, more precisely September 3rd, 2014. This device is a Note Phablet. According to Android Authority, the device may reach various stores by September 25th. It may be recalled that Samsung released its Galaxy Note 3 last year on that date.
Galaxy Note 4 to Compete with iPhone 6
It looks like. Samsung may have deliberately declared the date of launch a few days prior to the launch of iPhone 6. Apple has already confirmed its plans to introduce iPhone 6 on September 9th. By introducing the product a couple of days earlier, Samsung hopes to corner some bit of market share.
Though Samsung has not disclosed features and specifications, gadgets world expect this smartphone to have a flexible or curved QHD display with a resolution in the range of 1440 by 2560 pixels. Market is also speculating about the chipset in the device. Chipset options include Samsung’s Exynos 5433 or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805. A 3GB RAM is almost foregone conclusion. Internal storage in this device may be 32GB. In addition, market would love a camera that would be 16 megapixels, but may settle for 12 megapixel camera as well. The fingerprint scanner feature of Samsung Galaxy S5 may be present in this device as well. Alternately, Samsung may choose to provide iris scanner for device security. Characteristic S Pen stylus may also be provided with the device.
Much depends upon how Samsung will price the device. The South Korean electronics giant will have to cut its profit margin substantially if it intends to retain existing market share and make a dent in the market share of iPhone 6. For consumers, such competition is certainly good news.
