Samsung is one of the most interesting Android producers and Samsung Galaxy Q Smartphone could be one of the most interesting products so far from them. If the speculation will come true, the event IFA 2011 (the largest trade show for electronics consumer) will disclosure and bring the first “tabphone” half tablet-half phone device.
According to Tech Radar, Galaxy Q specifications include a 5.3 inch screen, with about an inch larger than the Galaxy devices so far.
Samsung motivate their choice of display of that size saying that these Smartphone’s are the ideal format for consumers, the tablets are too large. Galaxy Q will be the perfect mixture between a PC and a phone, they are saying.
Other speculation circulated the existence of a dual-core processor and 3G support, although it is not yet clear whether the technology will cover besides the data, the voice zone. Galaxy Q is definitely a Smartphone powered by Android. It remains to be seen whether the device will run on Smartphone’s version, most likely will opt for Gingerbread or Honeycomb, the tablet version.
Depending on the release date, the device could even come equipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version.
If Galaxy Q will be unveiled at IFA 2011 scheduled for September, Samsung will most likely sell the device during the Christmas holidays. Price remains a mystery, although we expect similar values with the existing Galaxy range.
