The Aspire S3 was one of the thinnest notebook and one of the first few breed of Ultrabooks. However, the next generation of Aspire S3 will be called the S7 is about to get better because instead of the usual Windows 7, it will be launched with Windows 8 instead. In addition to that, the screen will also be touch-enabled making it one of the first few touchscreen Ultrabooks.
Announced at the Computex 2012 in Taipei, there will be two version of the Acer Aspire S7 and these are the 13.3-inch model and 11.6-inch. In addition to that, both of these screens will sport full HD resolution so you can definitely expect better picture quality with the upcoming S7 Ultrabook. Suffice to say that when it comes to premium products, this is the one that Acer has got in mind. As far as the battery life is concerned, the 11.6-inch version promises a maximum of 9 hours while the 13.3-inch has 12 hours of battery life under its sleeves.
Since the Ultrabooks will be released with Windows 8 on board, you can expect it sometime within the next four months. The price tag of it will differ from country to country so you will have to wait for Acer’s regional announcement instead.
