$35 iPad on its way to Indian Markets

Indian iPad Tablet $35

India unveiled the $35 iPad today. This computer is quite similar to the Apple iPad tablet. It is specially developed for the technology students and professors of India.

This tablet will soon be available to Indian technology students for near about $20, while it is believed that the cost of this tablet will later be cut down to $10.

This is a feature rich tablet, it offers various features to the user. One can use this tablet for browsing the internet, word processing and video conferencing. This tablet runs on open source softwares which helps in cutting the cost of this product. Design and Hardware also adds up to the decreasing price.

The tablet doesn’t comes with a hard disk, it supports a memory card instead. So, one can use the memory card for the storage of files and data and the best part is that memory card is small and portable so one can take it with him anywhere and everywhere.

I guess this is a good move by India to make the Indian technology and educational sectors better. It is believed that the basic design of the tablet will be in production by 2011. If this things comes to the market, I am sure it will be the next big thing and it will be spread virally.

IITans did it again, but one thing I did not like is that it has Linux OS, hard to operate. ๐Ÿ™ and if they use Windows, this ipad would have cost more than Rs. 10k ๐Ÿ™
