Flying Fish

Just when you thought it was safe to get out of the water, a flying shark comes swimming towards you! A new remote-controlled flying shark (and flying clown fish) is like bringing the aquarium to your own room. It’s a pretty nifty gadget and I’m surprised nobody created something like this before. Watch the video, the reactions are hilarious:

The gadget is called Air Swimmers and it’s made by the company William Mark Corp. I’m not sure how it works, because I don’t see any helicopter blades or a fan, but there is something underneath the flying fish. At first, I thought it was just a helium balloon fish but it seems to have pretty good control.

The fins actually move left to right which gives it a swimming action. It seems like it’s actually used to help push the flying shark forward. It seems really steady while it floats, which gives it a real “swimming” simulation.

Want to surprise your roommates with some flying fishy friends?

Per Amazon, this thing needs to be filled with helium, and that’s what keeps it afloat.
