It has taken developers about 5 years to develop PlayStation 4, which will be launched on November 15, 2013. The gadgets world already has plenty of clues on what to expect from this gaming device.
Apart from being 10 times faster in processing speed than its predecessor, this gaming device will have a drive of 500 GB. One of the new features is the share button, which as the name suggests lets the players share some of the moments of their play on social media websites with friends. Live streaming of the game, apart from recording and editing of the game are other desirable features incorporated in this device. Streaming can be done from Twitch and Ustream.
The patch is another device that needs to be connected to Internet. PlayStation Vita can be accessed for streaming by installing this device. In addition, it is possible to download and play various games through this device. The device also lets users play Blu-Rays and DVDs, though discs option is always available for these two.
In all, PlayStation 4 is good for playing 23 games, as of November 2013. Some like Knack, Resogun, and Killzone: Shadow Fall cannot be played on any other device. Upgrades of popular AAA games such as Battlefield 4, Ghosts (Call of Duty), and Black Flat (Assassin’s Creed IV) will also be released this festive season. These games do not depend upon platforms. Sony is also planning upgraded versions of Minecraft, Final Fantasy XV, and Kingdom Hearts 3 for PlayStation 4.
At $399, it does sound rather expensive considering that most people already have smartphones and tablets with Android based games.
