Billed as the world’s largest LED TV, the Aquos LC-90LE745U has started arriving in US retail stores- Magnolia, Nebraska Furniture Mart, P C Richard, got the LED TV last week and ‘by the end of the summer’ it will be fully fledged in all retail stores.
The 90-inch TV screen has an area that is twice the area of a 65-inch screen. Using 3D glasses the Sharp LED TV can be used to watch 3D movies. It is 5 inches thick and weighs 141 pounds. The LED TV also comes with smart features like Wi-Fi connectivity, Skype video conferencing support, facility to browse the web and ability to connect to video streaming services and access to popular apps
The LED TV featuring 500 LEDs consuming about 381 W will last for about 60,000 hours- in effect about 27 years at uniform brightness and a 6 hour per day usage time. The Aquos also features Sharp’s SmartCentral Connectivity technology and AquaMotion 240 image refresh technology, which reduces the blurring of images. Sharp has announced that soon these gadgets will also have the option to allow using iPhones and iPods as remote.
