When it comes to notebook, light is always good because it always give out an air of portability to the user. However, there were limits as to the lightness of weight that a notebook can possess. Most often than not, even the lightest notebooks did not manage to get below a kilogram. However, that will soon change with the Gigabyte X11 because this 11.6-inch notebook will weigh only 975g.
The key component that had made it possible for the X11 to be lightweight is the body. There were no compromises on this because the X11 is made out of carbon fiber. Only the hinge is aluminium based. As far as the battery is concerned, the new X11 is equipped with a 4730 mAh battery although this is more likely to be built into the device.
Underneath the hood is an Ivy Bridge Intel processor although there is no telling on the specific model and also an Intel HD Graphics 4000. As far as the storage is concerned, you will be given a 128GB SSD. The price tag of it is also unannounced but it will be around the price range of $999 to $1299. This is certainly an interesting price tag or the world’s lightest notebook.
