HP extends their Sleekbook offer of ultraportable laptops with two new 14 and 15 inch models based on AMD hardware.
Like their brothers from the Ultrabook range, Sleekbook laptops with AMD processors are mostly observed by their highly flexible and lightweight materials, features that are offered at a price close to normal laptops.
The two new models Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and Pavilion Sleekbook 15 are using 1366×768 pixel resolution screens and come with Dolby Advanced Audio technology.
In their housing of only 21 mm thick, weighing 1.8 Kg, we can find a configuration with AMD APU processor, which may include as an option a Nvidia GeForce Series video card for better performance in games. Depending on the available budget, we can have up to 8 GB RAM and 1 TB HDD.
On the connectivity chapter you will find USB 3.0 ports and HDMI. For the same price we get the chiclet keyboard and touchpad able to interpret specific commands from the new Windows 8 interface, but there is no touch screen interface. The 15-inch screen version also offers a group of numeric keys.
HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and Sleekbook 15 can be purchased for $499 and $559 after the Windows 8 launch event which will take place on 26 October.
