Lenovo has created a stir in the market with the announcement of its latest convertibles in tablets and laptops, in the International Show of Consumer Electronic Show of gadgets in Las Vegas.
ThinkPad Helix- detachable screen
The ThinkPad Helix can be converted into a Windows 8 Ultrabook which is a hybrid feature. It can serve as a laptop as well as a tablet. But the best part is that the display screen can be detached from the tablet and used separately. This “kiosk Mode’”, as called by the senior editor of CNET, Dan Ackerman, will be hugely beneficial in presentations. It is also equipped with a keyboard that is spill resistant, i7 Intel processor and antenna options for both 3G/4G.
Other specks of the ThinkPad
From point of view of the hardware, it is equipped with Intel’s latest i7 processor that will work in 3G as well as 4G networks. Just 20mm thick, the device has an NFC chip as well as keyboard that are spill resistant. Wondering what the prices will be like? It is priced at $1499.
Lenovo has also announced another convertible laptop called the 11-inch IdeaPad Yoga which is a successor of the 13 inch IdeaPad Yoga unveiled last year.
