Lenovo Announces ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook and ThinkPad 8 Tablets at CES 2014


Lenovo ThinkPad X1 CarbonThis year, in CES 2014 Lenovo, has come up with quite a number of products. In the Consumer Electronic Show 2014, Lenovo made a big announcement about the launch of the 14-inch world’s lightest ThinkPad X1 Carbon and Windows 8 based 8-inch tablet-ThinkPad 8. ThinkPad X1 carbon is redesigned product endowed with a host of updated features.

ThinkPad X1 Carbon is claimed as the World’s lightest gadget of 2.8 pounds only. Though it is highly lightweight, yet it has a quite big display of 14 inch. It derives Carbon name from its frame that is made up of Carbon fiber, which is much lighter and stronger, than the aluminum or magnesium frame.

More of its features include Haswell processor Intel Core i7, multi-functional illuminated keys that are touch sensitive, 2560 X 1440p IPS display, SSD 512 GB and RAM of 8 GB.

This productivity tablet can be connected to a display or a keyboard for giving a bigger screen experience. Users can have a tent mode by using Quickshot cover or a desktop mode by connecting it with a monitor. It is equipped with a 8MP camera and has a resolution of 1920 X 1200p. Tablet will be running on the Windows 8 Pro and has the powerful Intel Bay Trail Quad Core processor.

As far as the price is concerned ThinkPad X1 Carbon has a price tag of $1299 and ThinkPad 8 tablet will cost you only $399.
