Samsung 17-inch Series 7 Chronos uses Ivy Bridge

The new Intel Ivy Bridge processor has yet to be released but there are a lot of news already about it. There are also a handful of lucky manufacturers that got early batches of the processor and one of them is Samsung. They have showcased the processor in one of their notebooks and to be precise, it is the Samsung Series 7 Chronos that gets the Ivy Bridge processor.

The processor inside the Series 7 Chronos is the third generation Intel Core i7 3615QM running at a clock of 2.3GHz. Although not the best, it is certainly a better variant of the Intel Core i7 processor. Although previously Samsung has made use of the ATI GPU, in the newer variant of Series 7 Chronos, an NVIDIA graphics card was used instead and it seems that it is the NVIDIA GeForce 650M is the choice for this notebook.

The 17-inch screen supports full HD resolution and has a smaller form factor than those commonly found in the usual 17-inch screen. There is a Blu-ray disc slot loading drive with 1TB storage space and 8GB RAM to accompany the laptop making it a high-end laptop for Samsung users. There has yet to be a price tag for this laptop though.
