RIM has officially announced to bring to the market three models from the Blackberry 7 series. These models are Bold 9900, Torch 9810 and Torch 9850/9860. All three are phones that fall within the Smartphone and promise to come with numerous features as interesting as they are.
First to say that all three models come equipped with the same processor running at a frequency of 1.2 GHz, with also a 768 MB RAM. Thus, from the beginning, we can say that RIM is moving towards a more demanding market segment with all three models, given their basic technical specifications.
BlackBerry Torch 9850/9860 is the successor of the Storm model. As important technical features has a 3.7-inch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480. In fact, it appears to be the biggest advantage to this model, given that RIM believes that the size and resolution are optimal for users who use multimedia functions of a phone. It should be mentioned the 5 megapixel camera with HD movie capabilities.
BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 is equipped with a VGA screen, a little more modest, of 2.8-inch, along with a QWERTY keyboard. The good looks on this phone is its width, being a very thin phone with a negligible weight.
BlackBerry Torch 9810 is perhaps the most complete phone of all three new models released. With a 3.2 inch touchscreen, QWERTY slider keyboard has the chance to perfectly match the preferences of a large number of users.
Of the official announcement from RIM, the approximate release date of these devices will be at the end of August 2011. We will come back later when we know a release date.
