With the collaboration between Sony and Ericsson coming to an end, all Sony phones will not bear the Ericsson name anymore. One of the first few devices that were released with only the brand Sony is the Xperia S.
The Sony Xperia S sports a 4.3-inch LCD screen with a HD resolution of 1280×720. It is a pretty impressive device that looks elegant in a lot of ways. It features a scratch resistant screen which is definitely needed for this device. It features a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor with an Adreno GPU. RAM on the other hand is at 1GB which is quite normal for a high-end device such as this. The Xperia S also has a 12 megapixel camera which takes great stills although in most cases the result is only good to watch on the phone and not to be blown up. It is currently powered with the Android v2.3 Gingerbread.
DLNA and HDMI are available on the Sony Xperia S which means that it is also geared for home entertainment as well. As of date, the pricing for the 32GB version of the phone is at a price of £430 although there is no set pricing for the United States.
