Android 4.4 Kit Kat is directly entering into the market in its latest Nexus 5 smartphone. The candy name bearing mobile OS is actually Google’s Android 4.4 version. Google also has plans to make this OS available for HTC One and Samsung Galaxy 4 within a couple of weeks.
Nexus is the brand name for gadgets, i.e., tablets and smartphones being sold by Google. The Android OS integrated in them is without any modifications and customization. Other companies enter into contracts with Google for access to Android OS, which is then modified to suit their devices and applications.
Google Nexus 5 is thinner than the previous model, and lighter, as well. It is a 5 inch device. It includes a novel HDR Camera function which can integrate several exposures and generate only one photo from them. This is useful for increasing light in darker areas of the photograph, and re-developing image in the area that is overexposed to flashlight. Nexus 5 includes the optical pictures stabilization feature. The Kit Kat version of Android 4.4 OS offers greater flexibility and ease in accessing the web without barriers, including various communication and application software programs out there.
The processor integrated in Nexus 5 is the Snapdragon 800, which is considerably faster. There are two models of Nexus 5 that are released in the market, i.e., the 16 GB and 32 GB model.
Nexus 5 is a device that is produced by LG for Google. It can be used anywhere in the world because of flexibility in band usage that is built in. It is also compatible with every SIM card. However, this device does not support Verizon band. The seamless approach to Web due to Android 4.4 will help, and so will the superior search features in Kit Kat.
