Leaked reports indicate that HTC is readying a device that is called ‘Proto’ now. Expected to be unveiled later this year, the Proto looks remarkably much like the HTC One V. However, it is unclear whether the new gadgets will join the HTC One series. There are some other expected releases too, but nothing has been announced yet.
Sporting a 4-inch WVGA display, unlike the 3.7 inch One V, this Android smartphone, is expected to come with a 5MP camera and 4GB of internal memory. It may be run by a 1GHz Qualcomm dual core MSM8225 processor and 512MB of RAM. This is an improvement over the single core One V. The device will support 7.2Mbps HSPA connection and will come with Beats Audio.
HTC seems to be going to put several new devices in the market by the time Apple releases the iPhone 5 in a few months. The HTC One X+, also called Evitaire, an upgrade to the One X with improved specs like Tegra 3 1.7GHz CPU by Nvidia and running on Google Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean may arrive next month in T-Mobile and AT&T. Another smartphone called the HTC One XXL has also been heard in the rumor circles.
