LG X3 and HTC Edge to race to become the first quad-core smartphone

Previously, a rumour had been released saying that HTC is coming up with the world’s first quad-core smartphone. The name that the rumour had come up with was HTC Edge. The HTC Edge is said to be powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor which is also present in some of the higher end tablets such as ASUS Transformer PRIME. In addition to that, some other features that should be noted include AMOLED screen and HD resolution as well.

However, it isn’t just HTC that is racing to manufacture the first quad-core smartphone. LG is also planning to do the same with a leaked smartphone called the X3. The LG X3 is said to have almost the same spec as the LG X3. It will also be powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 3 and have a 4.7 inch display running at a native resolution of 1280×720. In addition to that, it will also have Ice Cream Sandwich by default and possibly come with NFC support as well.

Both of the phones are good and having any of these are great as well but in the tech world, being number one matters. The first quad-core smartphone will definitely be a benchmark for the many to come.
