The world definitely got a buzz out of Windows Phone 7 when Nokia had announced the Lumia 900 which also looks like the N9. As with all mobile phone manufacturers, there are different levels of products and while the Lumia 900 is considered the higher spec of its WP7 phones, there is another one that is worth to look at and that is the Lumia 710. Costing only $50 with T-Mobile’s contractual plans, this is one cheap phone with a spec not to be taken lightly.
Sporting a 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor by Qualcomm and a 512MB RAM inside it, the Lumia 710 is quite powerful. The 3.7-inch device also comes with a 5MP processor which is somewhat decent as well. The screen however, isn’t as good as the AMOLED found in Samsung devices but it is nevertheless good to have. Internet Sharing option which is available in a lot of WP7.5 phones is not available on the Lumia 710 either.
The Lumia 710 is definitely a good phone to use especially if one plans into jumping to the WP7 bandwagon. However, the camera may be a bit disappointing to some especially to users that use it a lot but for $50, there’s not much to complain about.
