A few months ago Motorola surprised the gadgets world with its Moto G. It cut frills to come up this affordable device. Just when the market thought that prices would settle around $170 for a smartphone, Motorola has come up with Moto E, priced even lower. Moto E will be sold for approximately $120 a piece.
Features and Specifications
The 256 PII display screen of Moto E will be 4.3 inches in size. It will be covered with Gorilla glass which makes it scratch proof. The device will be water resistant, as well. The 5 megapixel camera will be provided in its rear. In addition, it would also have FM radio built within it. The battery in the device is 1980 mAH. The operating system in this device will be the 4.4.2 Android, i.e., KitKat. The processor incorporated in the device would be dual core, more specifically, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 200. The speed of this processor is 1.2 GHZ. The RAM being provided is 1 GB. Internal storage of 4GB is expandable with the help of microSD slot.
The device is arriving at a juncture when gadgets world is leaning towards phablets. The smartphone era will soon be over, and there would be many more such devices flooding the market, since other players would also be interested in increasing their turnover by targeting the market that so far could not afford smartphones. New features are unlikely to be offered. In fact, Moto E comes without any LTE connectivity. Even though there is a huge market out there, it does seem a tad difficult for much help from it, considering that competitors may also launch new affordable smartphones soon enough with better features.
