Top Three MP5 Players For 2010

First it was three and four and now, it is five. We are talking of MP5 Players, which is the current consumer electronic rage among the masses. What exactly are MP5 players and how do they differ from the still-popular MP3 and MP4 players? What are the top MP5 players available in the market? Read on for more….

What are MP5 players?

By now, most of you would be aware that a standard MP3 player is essentially a flash-based device, which plays MP3 audio files. These audio files are compressed in size, but manage to retain good quality sound, which is the reason for their popularity. MP4, on the other hand, is and MP3 video player, which supports MPEG4 video with supported formats such as *.mtv.

MP5 players are different from both MP3 and MP4, in that, these PMPs or Portable Media Players can play MP3 audio files, run video files on their LCD screens and also take pictures and record video as well. Most MP5 players manufactured in China support almost all the most popular video formats, such as AVI, ASF, DivX, 3GP, MP3, RM, RMVB, FLAC, WMA and more, giving amazingly clear picture quality.

MP5 players are given that name because they have “evolved” from the same line of MP4/MTV players. The best thing about these devices is that they use the latest RONBEN technology, which gives a user the no-conversion facility, which is a truly big step for such tiny players. There are four China OEM MP5 players using this technology – MP4300, MP3001, MP3002 and MP2802.
