Apple has recently released a new update to its Mac OS X family which is the Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. At a price of only $29.99, it is one of the cheapest upgrades as of date. It was made available only through downloads from Apple’s App Store and needs roughly 4GB of space to install it.
A lot of users were intrigued as to the enhancements done on the Lion operating system. Some of these enhancements may not be noticeable by a lot of people but it does affect the performance of the computer in multiple ways.
Previous versions of Mac OS X come with Exposé, Dashboard and Spaces but now, all of those were combined into a single app called Mission Control. It not only sounds good but is aesthetically pleasing as well.
In addition to that, it also comes with Launchpad which allows its users to place icons of software that they want onto the desktop. At a distance, it may look similar to the iPad UI as well.
These are just some of the many Lion enhancements that were made available by Apple. A quick check on the changelog by Apple would reveal a lot more enhancements done.
