Acer Iconia Tab arriving mid-January, promises ICS at only $330

There aren’t many Android tablets powered by the latest Ice Cream Sandwich. Sure, Honeycombs are plentiful but rarely ICS. That is why the Acer’s newest slate, dubbed the Acer Iconia Tab A200 will be arriving in the market soon. Acer estimates that it will be release sometime on mid-January or 15th January to be precise. However, it will be pre-loaded with Honeycomb although an ICS update will be available in January.

The Acer Iconia Tab A200 comes with an NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU which promises speed up to 1GHz under its dual-core specifications. It also comes with a 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. In addition to that, it comes with two colors which are “Titanium Gray” and “Metallic Red”.

This 10.1-inch slate will be available in two variants which are the 8GB and 16GB. The 16GB will cost roughly $350 while the 8GB is $20 cheaper at only $330. Personally, we prefer to spend the extra $20 as it will give double the space. In addition to that, it should also be noted that both of these variant are of Wi-Fi only. At this price range, Acer is targeting the mid-range tablet market. With specifications like these, expect a lot of sales for this particular product.
