As we mentioned before, Amazon had an event going on about releasing some new products and with that event coming to an end, we have seen two new products along with different variants of it. The new products being mentioned includes the Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire HD 8.9” as well as a Kindle Paperwhite. There were also some upgrades made to the current lineup as well.
The Kindle Fire HD is probably Amazon’s answer to the Google Nexus 7. However, instead of a quad-core processor, it makes use of the TI OMAP4470 processor which is said to have 40% more memory bandwidth than the Tegra 3. In addition to that, it also comes with an IPS screen with a resolution of 1920×1200.Connectivity wise, you are looking at a dual-band, dual-antenna Wi-Fi connection as well for more stability. The 8.9” version starts at $299 for the 16GB and $369 for the 32GB. The normal version on the other hand costs $199 and $249 respectively. There is also a 4G tablet available.
As far as the Amazon Paperwhite is concerned, you are getting a Kindle tablet. What is different about this is that it comes with a patented built-in light making it possible for it to be read in both night and day. It starts at a price of $119.
