Apple announced iPad 3 today, Retina Display amongst others

7th March is the day a lot of people have been awaited for. This is because Apple has announced a new replacement for its much loved tablet, the iPad 3. The new iPad looks pretty much like the old one although it has a lot of improvements as compared with the iPad 2. Is it worth the upgrade? Here are some things to take note about.

Like all new upgrades, one of the things that must be upgraded is the processor and it is no different with the iPad 3. The new iPad has an A5X quad-core processor with an upgraded graphics chip as well. Apple claims that the A5X has four times the power of the Tegra 3 processor by NVIDIA. In addition to that, it also has a Retina display which means that the screen is currently one of the best in the market with a pixel density of 264 ppi.

There is also an improvement in the camera as it now features a five megapixel camera which is a lot better than the old one. 4G capability is also available on the new iPad as well. The device is due to be released on 16 March in the US, Canada, UK and a few other countries.
