Apple’s iPad5 launch rumoured in March

If rumours are to be believed, Apple is soon planning to launch the new Apple iPad5 in March 2013. According to reports, the newer version of the big iPad is expected to be a lot slimmer and lighter than the existing model and may look similar to the iPad Mini and iPhone5. The company seems keen on shorter product release cycles to counter competition from Google, Samsung and Microsoft. Apple had released the 3G iPad in March, which was followed by the 4G iPad in October.

Here is what is expected-

Although the company has been regularly updating its models, the overall physical look of the iPad5 is now expected to undergo a change. The new gadget is expected to be smaller by 17 mm in width, 4mm in height and thinner by 2mm.

iPad Mini

Reports also suggest that Apple has already begun the trial of its 2G iPad Mini that could be released in March 2013. The new iPad Mini would have a 7.6-inch LCD Retina display having 2048 x 1536 pixels that would be powered on an A6X processor.

It is believed that Apple releases new updates about iPad every six months for catching up the market in comparison to the competitors.
