The first Samsung Galaxy Tab was a hit amongst people around the world and now, a successor to the device called the Galaxy Tab 8.9 will soon be available on stores around the US starting with Best Buy. According to Engadget, the device will be on sale on the 22nd of September 2011.
One of the shocks the new gadget may pose will be its price: $469 for the 16GB version and $569 for the 32GB. However, it should be noted that these prices are for the devices unlocked which means that buyers will not be tied with any contracts at all. In addition to that, the prices of these products are for the Wi-Fi version of the device and currently, there is no news on when the 3G version will be put on sale at the moment.
A short review of the Galaxy Tab 8.9 will show that it is equipped with an 8.9-inch screen, a dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor with an NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset, a 6000mAh battery and a few others. Suffice to say that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 would be a very powerful tablet for its price. Coupled with the new Android Honeycomb 3.0, it is a device not to be missed.
