iBall unveiled its first Android tablet earlier this week


iBall, world’s renowned computer peripherals maker has recently unveiled its very first Android tablet with a price tag of Rs 13,995.


Talking about its technical specifications; the tablet is powered by 1 GHz RM Cortex-A8 processor and it runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. It comes with an in-built memory of 8GB and it can easily be extended up to 32GB with the use of a microSD card. It supports a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display and it offers upto 6.5 hours of music backup and upto 5 hours of video. iBall Slide has support for Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth for connectivity purposes.

Tablet by iBall is the latest entrant in this succession

As companies like Beetel, RCom, Mercury have recently launched their tablets, iBall is the latest entrant in this gadget category. Also, just recently Bharti Enterprises group company Beetel launched Beetel Magiq which is a low-priced tablet. The approximate cost of this tablet is Rs 10,000 which is a 7” tablet that is powered by Android 2.2 OS. It comes with two 2-megapixel cameras and supports phone calls. It is equipped with a processor of 1 GB speed and supports up to 8GB inbuilt memory and it can also be extended up to 24GB.
