Toshiba Thrive 7-inch tablet due today, 11 December

Another new Android tablet hits the market with the latest release by Toshiba which is the Toshiba Thrive 7-inch tablet. What makes it interesting is of its technical specification as well as the price on which it will be sold at. This 7-inch tablet will be sold at a price of only $379.99 unlocked which is a lot cheaper than most tablets from reputable companies such as HTC or ASUS for that matter.

Unlike its 10-inch tablet counterpart, the 7-inch Thrive comes with a 16GB space or a 32GB space which would cost users $379.99 and $429.99 respectively. Both variants come with an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor capable of reaching speeds up to 1GHz and a 1GB RAM as well. In addition to that, there are a lot of pre-loaded applications both from Toshiba and from third-party publishers as well. Notable applications include Need for Speed Shift, Quickoffice, Printer Share and a lot more.

Other things worth mentioning is that the Toshiba Thrive 7-inch comes with a micro HDMI port as well as a micro SD slot so users can expect extended storage when they purchase this device as well. Battery life on the other hand stands at 6 hours so users might not expect just as much as what other people would get on an iPad.
