Vizio earlier made a surprise announcement at the CES 2012 about its first venture into the desktop and tablet market. In addition, on June 14 finally Vizio launched its first laptops and all-in-one desktops. The PCs are available at the Vizio store as well as popular retailers like Amazon and Walmart.
Two desktops were launched the 24 inch CA24 starting at $898 and the 27 inch CA27 at $1098 both coming with a high resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which can display, 1080p HD videos and movies in its full glory. Vizio adeptness in the HDTV field is well reflected by the remote control, two HDMI ports, and a separate 2.1 speaker subwoofer. The keyboard and trackpad are wireless. Moreover, these sleek devices like the Apple Mac Mini do not have an optical drive.
Ultrabooks and Laptops
The 14-inch CT14 and 15.6 inch CT15 Ultrabooks and the CN15 laptops complete the PC lineup of Vizio. The Vizio Ultrabooks, which start at $898, have a 256 GB SSD and 1400 x 900p resolution displays. The Vizio CN15 runs on a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 quad core processor, 500 GB to 1 TB HDD and optional 32 GB SSD. These gadgets are also priced $898 and upwards.
